Soil degradation is the decline in soil fertility and productivity due to poor management of soil like; unreasonable use of synthetic mineral fertilizers and pesticides/herbicides, urbanization, industrialization and industrial waste etc. In other words soil degradation is the physical, biological and chemical decline in soil quality.
